Flyback lines? Is the picture all white with no brightness control with faint horizontal faint lines? If this is what you are saying, the screen voltage could be bad, and if thats the case, the picture tube or the flyback itself could be bad. You could also have a bad connection on the crt socket

I have an old 36 inch widescreen Philips CRT TV which has been working fine for 7 years until yesterday when the whole screen just went blue with a series of white horizontal lines. The audio is still OK...

Hello
Since there is a blue screen atleast, I don't think that the picture tube is gone. The fault may be either to its chroma IC or video output section. In both sections fault cases, this type of horizontal lines [parellel to each other at about 1 inch or so apart the entire screen] will be seen. Just check the voltages at the three cathode, ie, red, blue and green of the piclture tube. This can be measured at the picrture tube neck card. If you have through knoledge in electronics, have patience and enough tools to do the work, inform me through Fixya. Without these, you can't work on a tv, especially in Philips.
Otherwise, get it checked by any expereinced service technician. OK.

Picture Problems On 50 Inch Philips Plasma

You plasma still under manufacturers warranty. Most electronic devices have one year warranty.
The failure in your TV can only be corrected by repairing it.
I would suggest to call philips and ask them to find you an authorized repair center near you to get your TV fix under their warranty.

Sony triniton 28" crt tv i have got sound but no picture

Any set can be repaired it is the question of the cost and the availability of the parts.

The fuzzy lines with static noise is probably from an arcing in the high voltage multiplier or in the flyback windinngs. I am very sure that the flyback assembly with the high voltage multiplier, and most likely the horizontal output transistor will have to be changed just to start. It is also possible that there may be some failure in the power supply as well.

The set would have to be serviced by an experienced TV tech. As for the cost, it will be a bit expensive.

You probably have a component breaking down on one of the circuit boards. It would have to be checked out to find out which one. Stargazer

Blue tint and lines on screen.

Those lines sound like "retrace lines" and several things can cause them. The most common are shorts inside the picture tube and shorted semiconductors in the video driver circuits. They can also be seen if the blue screen voltage is too high or if someone has tampered with the screen voltage control.

Philips 28PW6332 28" TV

Simple problem. In all likelihood, The Vertical Output IC has failed. It will be TDA 8177. Replace. Or, it could also be that the Supply to that IC has failed. Unless you are competent in Solid State repairs, do not try this by yourself. get a professional Technician to have a look.IC should not cost more than 15-20$ pluch Tecnician fees.
