Laptop screen frozen;arrow wont move;cant type in user name.ACER Aspire

The appeal to any laptop is the ease of portability of the machine, and an Acer laptop is no different. With an integrated mouse pad, these computers can be quite the boon to those looking to have their technology on the go, but a number of issues can afflict Acer laptops, including unresponsive mouse pads. Fortunately, a few clicks of the keyboard and some driver downloads can alleviate most Acer mouse pad problems.

Take a close look at the Acer laptop mouse buttons. Make sure the exterior of the buttons are clean and that there is no grime around the edges and crevasses of the Acer buttons. Dirt on top of the mouse pad can result in slower performance or an unresponsive experience, while grime around the sides of the mouse buttons can cause problems with the pressing and depressing of the mouse. Is there any way your mouse pad has been turned off? Check into this possibility. On an Acer laptop, hitting the "Function" (Fn) key and "F7" on the key board will result in the mouse pad being switched off. Hence, you may have hit this function and your mouse pad may not actually be broken or require any repair. Hitting the "Fn" button and the "F8" key on the Acer keyboard will result in the mouse pad being turned back on again. Click on the "Printers and Other Hardware" option on your PC. This is an alternative method to the above. At this point, examine the menu that comes up and click on the button at the top that reads "Device Settings." You should then see an option to click on your Acer mousepad. Highlight this option and click "OK." Launch your Web browser and go to the official Acer website. http://www.acerpanam.com/ The above steps may not have worked, so downloading new drivers for your mouse may be necessary. Select your country of origin, then click on "Support." You will be asked to click on your country again. After you do so, click on the link that says "Drivers and Downloads" on the left sidebar. Select your product line ("Notebooks") as well as your specific Acer computer model, and then hit "Search." Click on the link that says "Touchpad drivers." Your Acer computer may only require new drivers for your mousepad. Download the .exe file and run it to install the contents to your Acer computer. Restart your Acer computer after fully completing the download and installation process. Once the restart process has completed, the driver installation will be complete and your mouse should work again.

CURSOR IS BLOCKED

When your mouse pad is not functioning, it's hard to get most anything done on your computer. The fortunate side to all this is that getting a mouse pad to work again on a laptop is not an overly complex procedure. A few troubleshooting techniques will quickly lead you on your way to productivity again.

Examine your mouse pad. Dirt and grime can affect performance and slow down mouse sensitivity, if not shut it down altogether. Make sure the surface of the track pad is clean and that there is nothing that has managed to get beneath it or around any trackball buttons that could affect the pressing and depressing of the component. Check to see if your mouse pad has been turned off. If the Fn (Function) button at the bottom left of the keyboard is pressed in conjunction with some other key on the keyboard it can result in the disabling of the mouse pad. To enable your mouse pad on a Windows PC go to the Control Menu. Under the Printers and Other Hardware option, click on Mouse. Then, click on the tab on the top of the pop-up menu that says Device Settings. The touch pad for your computer should come up as a selectable option. Click on it and you will see the option to enable your device, then click OK. If this does not work, proceed to the next Step . Check the manufacturer of your laptop (for example, Toshiba) and then navigate to their official website. Find an area for Software and Drivers, and move on to that area. Enter your laptop number (check your documentation/manuals and/or the bottom of the computer) and look through the drivers that are presented as a result of this number input. It could be that your mouse pad simply needs updated drivers. Find the driver that corresponds to your computer and mouse pad (for example, most Acer laptops use a Synaptics touch pad). Then, click on download. Once the drivers have downloaded, double click them to ensure they install, restart your laptop, and your mouse pad should be working again. Hope this helps.

How di make my mouse work

usb mouse or mouse bad ?

Look at the type of mouse you have.

To date, there are three types of mice: the USB mouse, the PS/2 mouse and the Bluetooth mouse.

USB mice connect with a USB adapter, which has a rectangular shape. Conversely, the PS/2 mouse uses a PS/2 adapter, which is round.

Finally, there's the Bluetooth mouse, which has no external adapters.

Plug the mouse into your machine.

Now, how you do this will depend on the mouse you're using.

With a USB mouse, simply plug your device into your laptop's USB adapter, which will also be rectangular in shape.

For PS/2 mice, you'll need to plug it into a PS/2 adapter. Plug your mouse into the PS/2 end then plug the other end into your laptop's USB adapter.

And for Bluetooth mice, no plugging is required.

Install the mouse drivers.

If your mouse is not plug-and-play, you're going to need to install its drivers. To do this, insert the CD or diskette that came with your device.

The installation should occur automatically.

Pair your mouse, if using a Bluetooth mouse.

At this stage, non-Bluetooth mice are ready to be used.

However, if you are installing a Bluetooth mouse, you must perform one additional step: pairing it to your machine.

To achieve this, use your laptop's touchpad and right-click on your Windows screen. Select the option "Pair Device." From there, follow the on-screen instructions to sync your mouse with yourcomputer.

Place your mouse onto a mouse pad. Before using your mouse, you need to place it onto a mouse pad.

This should be done for all types of mice, whether they are wireless or trackball.

Otherwise, movement will be difficult
