Resized c drive, now windows won't start. How can I reinstall windows from windows disc
Hi Terrez,
- To reinstall windows from Windows disk Insert the disk in the drive, restart the computer and enter the BIOS setup.
- In BIOS setup, make the DVD Drive the first-starting device.
- Save and exit BIOS setup.
- Now the computer continues the restart. Look at the screen. When a message appears, you have only a few seconds to hit any key on the keyboard in orter to start the computer from the disk.
- From there, Windows setup will continue.
My touchpad is working only
1. Go to control panel
2. open mouse options
3. click the device settings tab and you
should see your touch pad as one of the devices.
4. Make sure your touch
pad is highlighted and click the settings button
5. one of the options is tapping, and you can enable it here
That should get your mouse to click on touch pad taps.
Good Luck!

Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to
the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand
corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.
The
detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and
time on the right hand side box. Select that date.
Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a
reboot.
After reboot your problem should be resolved.

Hi Kathy,
CCFL
(Cold Cathode Florecent Lamp), which is the back light OR the Inverter board, which provides high voltage to the CCFL may be failing. These parts are inside the LCD Display of the laptop.
So,
my advice is that you seek professional help from any authorized repair/ service professional to avoid any further damage to the laptop.
Hope it helps! Good Luck!

Hard drivs has C: drive and D:Data the D is 35gb
You can move MY DOCUMENTS to that drive.
- Click on the Start button and then right-click on My Documents and
select Properties. If there's no My Documents in your start menu then
right click on the My Documents icon on your desktop instead.
- When you've clicked on properties, select "Move" and then navigate to
your D: drive.
- Select the drive letter and then click "Make New
Folder." Enter "My Documents" as the folder name and hit Enter and then
OK.
- Windows will then ask you whether you want to move your documents;
click Yes.
- Moving your documents make take some time. Once moved, though, you
can access them normally from the "My Documents" icon on the desktop or
elsewhere.
- In the process you'll free up a lot of room on your C: drive. Defrag
the drive so it can be utilized by Windows in the most effective manner.
My daughter cannot remember password. is there
Hi,
You can try the below option.
1. If the computer is in a domain, reset the domain user is and log into the computer.
2. If not part of a domain, login using any other user id (if exists) and reset the password for your id.
3. No you are the only single user, then reset the password if you've created any password reset disk. 4. If none of the above works, then the only option is to install the operation system once again. This will not affect any applications installed, if you are not formatting the disk before you install. Just install upon the existing OS.
Once logged into OS, then disable the password option from control panel -> users and accounts. So that it wont prompt for a password while logging int next time.
Please come back and vote for me, if this turns to be helpful for you or also if you need more clarification. Thnx
Cannot detect a modem on a aspire 3680
Does the computer have a built-in modem?
Look for a square socket, with 4 (not 8) parallel gold-coloured pins.
If you don't see this socket, there is no built-in modem.
If you do, open the Windows "Device Manager", and look for "unknown" devices, and expand the 'Modem' category. It's possible that the correct software device-drivers for the modem have not been installed.
Double-click any "unknown" device, and then click 'Reinstall Drivers', and click 'OK to access the Internet to look for updated drivers'.
