Does the computer boot into Windows? If not it appears there is an issue with your hard drive. When you turn on the machine, try to get into the diagnostics mode of the computer (F12) and then select BIOS Diagnostics. From there run the tests to see if the hard drive is bad. From there you might have to get a new one.

My Dell 968 All-in-one printer keeps giving a paper jam error message. The printer does not pull the paper up far enough to catch on the top rollers and continue to feed the paper through. The ink cartridges move back and forth, spitting out ink but there is no paper there to print on. We followed all of Dell's advice for avoiding paper jams, but it's still not working.
Did you try cleaning all of the rollers coming into contact with the paper? I use alcohol and/or rubber restorer.

Error 077-900, what does that mean?
this error indicate paper jam at registration unit, to clean:

1. remove paper tray
2. open fron cover
3. remove jammed paper gently without tearing it
4. check if there are any creased paper sheets in tray, remove if any
5. check paper path if free from debris and any leftover paper tears/fragments
6. close front cover
7. insert back paper tray

Paper jammed (Dell lase Printer 1720dn
Open the back cover and look for paper wrapped around a roller back there. That is the most common cause of the issues with this machine. The other thing you can try is to push down on the little flaps where the paper comes out of the printer. These get stuck and need cleaning/replacement all the time in the later life of these models (1720's).
