replace the float valve in the water tray
evaporate coolers work by pumping water onto a screen through which air is blown
the hot air evaporates the water in the screen and the air out is cooler
works very well in hot dry climates but not so well when the humidity is above 80%
Probably needs burner pot cleaned out, common thing to do.
Its a 40 series oil heater, only had single knob, air adjust is automatically set by internal controls.
