Would you mind to tell me why the pilot of vulcan compact 60 could not turn it on?

Hi.

Air duct must be checked. Poor ventilation is common cause for the problem.

If ventilation is OK, then the other possible cause is a defective flame sensor. The flame sensor is connected in parallel with the valve solenoid. For safety reasons testing must be done by a technician.

To get a quote on repair ring the service number listed on the user manual.

Vulcan compact 60 should the fan be on automatic - fi so it doesnt turn off - either way the unity is not ducting warm heat
It should be in auto.

Vulcan compact 60 the fan came on straight away i think it is on automatic but doesnt stop and heat coming through vents is cool i turned automatic off now nothing is coming through vents ie no heatin

How do you light the pilot light on vulcan compact 60? there is no ignotion button to be seen
hi chris, did you work out how to light the pilot light! the instructions are great until it says light the pilot.... yeah, but where is the pilot light?? it is easy to find when it is on... but not obvious when off... i\'m pressing the button in for 15 seconds and then waving around a naked flame... it just doesn\'t feel safe after 30 seconds of gas wissing and no joy... plus i\'m in a crawl space under my apartment covered in spider webs - i\'d love another clue so i can get out of the crawl space quicker ;-) thanks ren

Need to know where to light pilot
Normally, it's under the fryer, inside the door...The issue almost always is you have to press the button down long enough for the sensor to tell the fryer to light....There are 3 or 4 burners in the bottom of the frypot on top and under the fryer is the pilot to light these all up...Look for the gas valve, turn the gas valve to pilot, and press and hold it down, put flame to pilot and release button when flame is self standing... I have an old Vulcan 6 burner commercial gas stove with a 24" griddle. The gas was turned off during a remodel. Now the gas is back on and the gas burners work fine but I cannot get the oven pilot light to...
Hi- This should have a gas Safety Valve, this is the main valve to the oven (this probably has 2). If you remove the lower panel under the doors they are probably right there. Looks like a large gas valve with a button on it, sometimes the button is red. You need to hold in that button while lighting the pilot and keep holding it in for a few seconds until the thermocouple gets hot enough to tell the valve to keep the pilot on. You'll have to do this for both ovens if there are 2 valves. It's possible the valves are located somewhere else on the range so you may have to hunt a bit. If the pilots still won't stay lit you may need new thermocouples in which case I'd call a Tech out to look at it. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Pilot won't lite. fryer is 6 months old. Did get pilot to lite once and as soon as we turned thermostat pilot went out.
When you turned on the thermostat you required more millivolts from the system and it failed. Low millivolts. That would tell you the pilot generator needs replacing. Make sure you have a good pilot flame hitting the pilot generator.
