The control panel on my Thermador scd302tp will

Hello, welcome to Fixya. To answer your question "Is there a cheaper fix?" In a word...maybe. **Turn off the breaker before attempting any service suggested here please** The first thing to look into is to check the harness which comes from the main relay board to the display head, they can become unsecured from the display or the main relay board/control and that will affect the display in a negative way, i.e. faded or no display illuminated. You may or may not be surprised how much those things vibrate under normal use with the cooling/convection fan running etc. and over time the harness becomes unsecured. Check "J1" on display head as well as "J1" on relay board of the display power harness and insure they are secure in place, wiggle them a bit to see if the display illuminates when turning the power back on. If that doesn`t yield any positive result`s you`ll need a new display head kit part # 492067, it comes w/harness and main relay board ( see image below ) and it is typically about $250 or so, but I haven`t had to purchase one in 4-5 yrs. I`ve checked repairclinic.com and their site says it is discontinued, but if it turns out you need one I may have one in my garage. ( I used to have my own appliance business, hence I still have some "new old stock". we can communicate via email if need be ) Let me know what you find and how it goes with the harness check, I`ll watch for your reply on your post here. I`ll cross my fingers for you it`s just a loose harness. Hopefully this was helpful to move you forward and shed some insight on what to look for at least. Good luck macmarkus :)

My thermador double oven display is note openly connected. How do I fix it?

This board set can also be rebuilt at www.fixyourboard.com. Dim display is a common failure that can be repaired reliably at a fraction of the new board cost. Changing the clock time

If you mean simply adjusting the 12 hour LED to the time of day...Push the area on the glass control panel printed "clock". Enter time of day by using same "buttons" you use to adjust oven temps, as in 1-2-0-5, which would be 12:05. then push clock once more. If you meant changing from 12 hour time to 24 hour time, that is complicated, takes two people, and is on page 30 of your owner's manual.

Oven light will not turn off

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Does the light shut off if you push the door closed slightly ? Or if you push the door switch closed manually. It is located on the grill of the oven...i.e.

Let me know, if so the door hinge needs adjustment. If not, it may be a control issue.

I'll watch for your reply.

I have a Thermador CM302,

Hi,

Error F34 means that a fan may be too dirty to operate correctly. Please get the oven cleaned before calling in thermador service center at 800 735 4328. It says it’s a air flow problem. This means it could be the fan motor sensor telling the control board that it is not spinning fast or not at all or it could be a micro paddle switch that is activated by air flow. You will find two of them on the bottom of a double oven thermador. You can try with your fan blower motor which has 4 wires going to it, it has a sensor reading the rotation of the motor. You should look for a paddle switch.
Error F64 means lower oven cooling fan air switch not detected. Replace the air switch , replace cooling fan and check connections. Check P6 on PCB control display.

Thanks for contacting Fixya and please accept the solution if it has helped you.

I can't open my oven

Some ovens have a latch that must be locked for self-cleaning. Look at top of oven door and see if you have a sliding latch. Try to move it back to the left to unlock.
