CNet wireless router Model CWR-854V.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer directly to the DSL modem, bypassing the router, turn the modem off, turn the modem on, wait 60 seconds, and restart your computer.

Does the Ethernet lamp still blink when Windows is booting, and when you are using the Internet?

Turn the DSL modem off.
Turn the router off.
Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the modem, and connect it from the computer to the router.
Turn the router on, and wait 60 seconds, then turn your computer on.
After Windows is running, click Start.
Click Run
Type CMD
Press Enter
Type IPCONFIG
Press Enter
Look for output like: default gateway........ 192.168.123.456
If the string starts with '192.168', then your computer *IS* "talking" to the router.
Now, use an Ethernet cable to connect the WAN port on the router to the DSL modem.
Turn the modem on.
Turn the router off.
Turn the router on.

I can`t entry at the router

These aren't widely used in the United States, however it appears that there should be a small reset button on the back of the device. There may be a graphic of an arrow going into a circle above or near it. Press and HOLD that button for 15-20 seconds and then release. All of the lights will go on the router and then go off.
IMPORTANT: When you do this, all of the settings in the router will be cleared and it will go back to factory settings. The default username and password at that point are admin and admin.
You can then go to http://www.cnet.com.tw/html/Services.html to obtain an owners manual for the device and step you through setting it back up.
Hope this helps!

Ok. i have just bought

I have that router... I HATE IT!!!
What I did was... #1. Unplug both the router and modem for about a minute. #2. Plug them in again and when they are both fully booted up... #3. Press and hold in the WPS button on the back or the router for approximately 5 seconds. #4. You should see a wireless network become available called MyWLAN #5. Just go through the router setup.
Hope this helps a little

I need for a new

You should perform a Hard Reset to restore the router to its factory settings. This will automatically reset the password to the default listed in the manual. From there, you can easily change the password (and the user name) in the router settings to whatever you see fit. 1. With the router plugged in, used a pen or similar object to depress the router's recessed reset button. Hold it for 30 seconds, then, while continuing to hold the button down, unplug the router. 2. Hold for 30 more seconds with the router unplugged. 3. While continuing to depress the button, plug the router back in and continue depressing the button for a final 30 seconds. Your router should now be restored to factory settings.

I just want to use the router as a wireless switch

1. power router off
2.connect all computers you want to connect.
3. start computers one at a time completely
4. check router for status light per computer to see if device is seen by router.
5. open web page to see if each computer is online.
7. do ipconfig / release/renew if not connected.
then .....

1.Log into router
2. Verify wireless router name( on the computer) >>> ( on/off)
3.Note router name you are connecting to.
4.. Check the laptop/desktop do ipconfig /all to see current IP addresses.
5. Set the laptop/desktop PC's up in the router by WEP KEY or MAC address.
6.Note router name you are connecting to.
7. Move the laptop about 20ft away and try to log on to the internet.
This is for all routers to set up wirelessly. You can connect up to 250 wireless devices on one router. This will decrease bandwidth of course but this is the range.

What is it used for?

Hello,
You can use this wireless router to connect different wireless devices together. Each device with a wireless network card (computer, phone, gaming system, printer, etc.) can connect to the router without a cable. This will form a network where information can be shared.
The main purpose people use this for is to connect their network to the internet. As long as the router is connected to your internet, every other wireless device can also connect.
Thanks,
Pat

If you are trying to set up the router for the first time ensure you are using a cable not wireless connection. With wire connected can you get the set up screen on that ip? if not open a dos window (start>all program>accessories>command prompt) and type ipconfig and it will tell you the ip the router is using. try using that ip instead

Trying to access 192.168.1.254 for siemens se567,

The internet connection has a security that's why you can't access the internet. The only thing you have to do is to know the wpa password of the router.

This router has a default username and password to configure all the settings. This is the manual for Cnet CWR-854 Router:

http://www.cnetusa.com/eng/Manuals/Wireless/CWR-854/CWR-854%20ver%20F%20User%20Guide.pdf

It seems that the router is already configured by an authorized person, the best thing you should do is contact the authorized person that knows everything about the router.

Cant access http://192.168.1.254

The IP address 192.168.1.254 is the default for certain home broadband routers and broadband modems, including
  • some 3Com OfficeConnect routers
  • Netopia / Cayman Internet gateways
  • Billion ADSL routers
  • Linksys SRW2024 managed switches
  • Westell modems for Bellsouth DSL Internet service in the U.S.
This address is set by the manufacturer at the factory, but you can change it at any time using the vendor's management software. 192.168.1.254 is a private IPv4 network address. Any device on a local network can be set to use it. As with any IP address, however, only one device on the network should use 192.168.1.254 at a time to avoid address conflicts.
