JVC GR-AXM710 Camcorder Questions & Answers
I have a JVC VHS-C gr-axm710u that takes digital
Just look at the cam as an external HD. Then you can browse with Explorer, find the pics and copy/paste to the NT machine. After the paste, delete from camera. Don't cut/paste and possibly lose all.
Please help
You most likely have bad capacitors in the camcorder. Not a really hard fix except you need special surface mounted soldering tools, a service manual and a service wire extention kit. Very expensive these days to repair. There are a few Camcorder repair shops that charge a flat rate. You can look up camcorder repair up on the Internet and find them, or I will send you some if you need. In my opinion, it is time to retire the old girl and find a shiny new digital camcorder. They are not all that expensive these days. Good Luck

The PLUG port for the SERIAL OUTPUT is on the OTHER END of the camera, under a rubber cover similiar to the one on front where the A-V points are !

Oh yes it could be the pan caps as we call them as where if left long enough will distroy the PCB!! Anther common trouble with these jvcs as well with some other brands of camcorders is a stuck iris assy as oil or dust gets on them and stops it from opening at power up But I suspect the cap problem and Im sorry to say is most likely cost prohibited because you may have to replace the entire PCB if its even still available.. Oh the uto iris i9s built deep inside the lens assy and the lens has to be taken off the camcoder body abd disassembled and take a bit of time to do. Good Luck
Why won't my digital camera charge via USB anymore?
Take camera and its battery to a camera outlet, ask them to check the built-in rechargeable battery.
Most outlets will help you with this, as its likely that if the battery has failed, you'll buy a replacement from the same dealer.
Tape won't eject on my jvc gr-d60. help please.
Remove battery
Press and HOLD Eject as you place battery back on (so its the first command it recognizes with power) and try to eject. If it does not come out, camera will need service to remove tape or fix gears
My GR_SMX730U VHS camcorder is eating the tape.It uses a PRO TC-30 casset.
that means the head is sticky or the takeup rollers are icky
take it apart . clean all the parts the tape touches with something thats strong but little water .
as for the head very carefull clean it when you get to the actual holes where heads are only use a proper qtip wetted . look it up or youll break them.
on the rubber rollers scrub them . then load the tape an watch it run.
its easy to fix this but you need a nice clean place an some small phillips , take pics of parts/screws if needed
