I have bad audio static when playing my mini dv tapes on two JVC MIni DC Video cameras model GR-D244U and GR-D370U,need help?

The heads need cleaning. DO NOT USE A HEAD CLEANING TAPE. Thats like holding sand paper to the drum. Use alcohol and a swab.

Record it again. Recording on dirty heads records the noise. It will never go away once recorded.

GR-D370 Mini DV Digital Camcorder: i have a jvc dr-d370u and i can't format my memory...

This model can accept SD card for up to 2GB only. You may be have more than 2GB card, otherwise there is an internal problem with your camera that needs repair. Hope this helps

Download mini DV tapes to computer

Win 7 with it´s automatic driver download from internet, corel studio 12 wen it starts shows transfer mini dv to dvd, and a normal firewire connection (from the right side of the lens -hidden under rubber cover-) that allows corel to use the camera automatically when the camera is on play mode.

If you are referring to the JVC GR-DVL520, yes it does play Mini DV tapes, as well as records to them. It will not play Mini DV tapes that were recorded on an HDV camera. HDV is used by any Mini DV camera that records HD video.

Record directly from jvc model GR-- D370U Digital Video Camera to my pc

Sorry, but it's not possible to record directly to a PC. Windows movie maker will only record from a tape. Please use a quality cable like Belkin, I have had issues with the cheaper firewire cords.

Hi Heidi.

Be sure your camera is on when you have connected it to your PC. Then you have to put it in Play mode and rewind the tape if it's a USB cable you connect with. Start Windows Movie Maker and test.

I have had the same problem...usually had success by taking off the battery, putting it back on, turning the power off and on, etc. It has always gone back in eventually. I also tried re-charging the battery and replacing. Could this be an old battery problem? Mine is 4.5 years old.

Are desktop-type DV mini-video cassette players available? Hello. I have some recorded mini DV cassette tapes which were recorded on my JVC DVC. Cassette dimension about 66 x 46 x 13 mm. All I can read from the tape label is TDK DX. As the video-cam has stopped working, I want to play back & record all non-junk video clips to my PVR, or via my video-USB grabber adapter to PC. Without having the video camera as a player, are there video-cassette players for this size? The format is VHS. I tried web-searching 'Desktop DV player' but got gazillions of non-related hits Video cams, ... estate agent!!?: Thanks for any advice. Clive.
