WHERE CAN I ARRANGE REPAIR OF JVC VIDEO C

Check out JVC web site for guidance. but with the cost of these items getting to be so relatively inexpensive, it may not be cost effective to have it repaired.

Mini-DV TRAY OPEN..Camera shows E-04 Problem Code

FIrst, tap the side of the camera with a good thump, and it will remedy the problem immediately.

Then, to prevent it happening again, do the following:

1. Chuck out all those cheap crappy tapes you purchased to save a buck. Get JVC or Panasonic.
2. Chuck out all those cheap generic batteries you purchased to save a buck. Get JVC
3. DO NOT STORE OR TRANSPORT THE CAMERA WITH THE FILM IN, OR THE BATTERY ATTACHED!
4. ONLY AFFIX BATTERY AND FILM IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO USE. Keep both in their proper containers.
if that doesnt work
i'll tell you the secret. the moisture sensor is a little black square on the side of the drive motor. if you look directly where the tape goes in, the drive motor is in the far back left. it's partially hidden behind a silver pin hanging down from the black plastic cover that goes over the video head. take a long q-tip and dip it in glass cleaner(windex etc) and gently wipe it off. you should see a small amount of black guck on the q-tip.
then remove power for about one minute and allow to dry. it's better to use air to dry it out.

JVC Camcorder

JVC does not show this model to be a valid model number in the database. The model series begins with the GR-D32U which I have a manual for. If you would like, I can convert it to a PDF for you and email it to you. Joe Weibel Custom Electronics (customelectronics.org)

Failure of the CCD image

Te image sensor is replaceable. The cost for the part runs about $130. The labor to install it will vary from shop to shop but you are probably looking at around $200 to repair your camera.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

However you can log on to the JVC SUPPORT site and post your problem to get a response.
If you have an authoirised service center aroung your place it will be best to get in touch for an estimation.

I'm trying to get video

You are not able to convert the DV to digital data because there is conflict of the format and the type of file. So it is required that a software must be downloaded to the PC so that the DV files are copied and converted.
Please check the following link and download the program to be used to convert the DV files.

Click on:

You can convert the DV to DVD by using the converter.

Condensation operation paused how do

If the camera is working correctly it's to protect the camera and tape.
The camera has detected condensation inside it's body due to a large change in temperature. eg. when you take the camera form a heated room to an external environment that is very cold.
You simply wait until the camera acclimatizes.
