Older RCA Camcorder CPR 300 gets a narrow verticle
your image chip has a 3 year life with constant use, 5 years in the storage will surely damage the camera worse than having it used regularly.
it is either you replace the actual view finder or better off, a new camera will surely do the trick.

Want a deep cleaning for a 1996 model Hi8
If you have a Best Buy near by I would recommend them I take my cameras to them and they always come back great. You can call them and they should be able to give you a quote.

RCA Video Camera model CC010 Tint help
Have you tried running the white balance? These cameras did not have auto white balance. You have to "shoot" a white card in the light that you will be using for taping.

RCA VHS CAMCORDER
Let us attack this from a different perspective. What is the problem with the camcorder? Typical labor rates will be in the $150 range, so you are looking at that much for the repair without parts. Please update this with a problem description and I'll try to provide you with what needs to be done to fix it.
Thanks,
Dan

White Screen
Ok, this sounds like a hardware problem, or the screen cable might be cut, but its most likely a circuitboard issue in the camera. Can you post the brand and model?
Hows is your warranty? your warranty should cover fixing this.

How do you get an LG LV720 video cassette recorder out of safe mode?
To get your LG LV720 video cassette recorder out of safe mode, you can follow these steps:
Locate the original remote control that came with your VCR.
Look for a button marked as C.LOCK or LOCK.
Press this button. This should allow you to exit the safe mode3.
If you don't have the original remote, you might face some difficulties. Some users have reported success by pressing the record button for 6 seconds on their Panasonic VCRs but it's unclear if this will work for an LG model.
