Hello, for the descriptions of the colors (red. green, and blue) of the USB video adapter, what you have is a "component video input" also called YUV in which you can only send color difference signals from a device that has the same kind of output, like a DVD player. So, you cannot plug your cam cable directly to them.
Maybe your USB adapter has another input or dongle in which the colors of the RCA jacks are the same as you have in your camcorder. Red: right Audio, Black: left Audio and Yellow: composite video.

The charging system for your camera is not a cable, it is a charger where you have to place the battery in the charger. It is black in color and slightly larger than a pack of cigarettes. Some of the chargers come with an adapter tip that changes the prongs to a straight round tip plug

Have you tried running the white balance? These cameras did not have auto white balance. You have to "shoot" a white card in the light that you will be using for taping.

Have you tried Batteries Plus near you or go online to www.batteriesplus.com
they list both the batteries and the chargers for this model of camcorder

take the battery out look at the charger fo a + symbol match the battery to the plus symbol snap the battery into the cradle and the light on the charger should come on once it is in the battery is charging.if no light apears then it is not charging.
