As long as you do not accidently solder wrong connections together you should be OK. Make sure all solder is to same circuit.

I had a similar problem on our 61" LED projection Samsung, It was about 9 months old, I called in the engineer (It was still under warrenty.), he updated the firmware on the TV. He connected his laptop to the TV, went on to Samsung,s internet site, downloaded and installed the latest update. We have had no problems since.

Replace STKs you have 2 of them and 3 resistors near ICs 2.7 ohms.

IF THE SCREEN IS ALL RED WITH VIDEO VISIBLE AND RETRACE LINES. ADJUST SCREEN CONTROL IN THE FRONT FOR THE RED TUBE ONLY. TURN CONTROL COUNTER CLOCKWISE. IF THAT DOESNT DO IT THE TUBE CAN BE REJUVINATED.

Only If they are burted up,and no you should be able to use your heat Sinks.Rember to CK low ohm resistors samsung has 3 that can and do go bad. 2.7 or 3.9ohms

You have convergence problems replace both of the STKs big black ics.

ok give me the name of you motherboard and i will find a website for you. if you dnt know how to do that reply back asking how.

Your power button may be stuck? Depress it with the TV unplugged. Make sure that the button is moving in and out properly. If this does not fix the problem, it probably needs service by an authorized service center.

Check the following :

1. when you switch on the TV will you get any burnt smell near TV,will it try to on or will it make any hissing sound .

if there is any hissing sound there may be some short circuit happening inside ..
if it doesnt tries to on then the powr supply might not be coming to the screen or the CRT might have got damaged ..,, if this is the case then CRT must be replaced ...

if the power is not coming to the screen then there may be some problem in the transformer or due to some short circuiting some of the component might have burnt you need to identify that and replace that ... this solves your problem ..

IF THE CONVERGENCE IS NOT ADJUSTING COMPLETELY THEN IT PROBABLY NEEDS NEW CONVERGENCE IC's . ALSO CHECK OUT THE SHARPNESS OF EACH PICTURE TUB (CRT) THESE SET ARE NOTORIOUS FOR HAVING BAD CRT''s (WHICH ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE).

but it sounds like you will need convergence IC's to fix the color alignment , but some bad resistor or resistors will most likely be involved

if you did not see the picture on the blue tube; that is your problem -- the drive signal is not getting to the video amp and the mixed color from the green tube and the red tube is giving you a different color wich is unnormal. a good picture is when the 3 crt are emitting the video

use manual convergence to re align the colors. the owners manual tells you how to do this. No manual go to samsung. com in the FAQ section

The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
