My Mitsubishi has a convergence problem as well as video display issue. It powers up fine and shows inputs and channel display on screen. It also has sound. But not getting any diplay video from either inputs and anntena signal. Blue screen shows when you select other inputs such as DVD, DTV etc. Already replaced STK convergence ICS. I as other member was able to get tv signal and raster by removing GENE-CONVERG board. I even swapped GENE CONVERG board from no success. Also convergence is bowed at top and right. When attempting to select Advance Convergence to show ADvance screen Adjustment, It does not come on. When Attempting to adjust convergence it does not move on either ere or blue convergence. . Any assistance is greately appreciated. convergence is bowed at top and right .when attemting to reset convergence on screen menu it was gone on list menu.
The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.
These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.
When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.

also check resistor values on the chips and resolder the tuner as this can cause problems as they heat up , then replace any electrolitic capacitors in the video circuts selector ic
