Ur colors wheel it dead.It spinning of it axes.The noise u hear it the grinding of the colors wheel.There no colors,big buzzy loud noise,or grinding noises.In any kind of DLP tvs that produce the last 10 years they all have colors wheel's.Hire a Tv repairman for this job.Because it require alot of taking out of machanical parts,even can come to the colors wheel part to replaced.Many people made a mistake think it was easy,cost them alot more $$,because tv's tech. don't like fixing other people mistakes,and blunders.Give them a head aches tries figure out what the customer did.

Try taking the door off and manually hold the switch down. If its still gives the error, you have two choices. 1.) Replace the lamp switch or 2.) cut the wire and splice them together.

You probably need to change the input to your tv. The remote should have a button labeled "input," "source," or something similar. Press this button a few times and see if you can get a signal. Good luck! Der Strom

The lamp is finished. Order a new lamp using the code on the side of the TV. Remove the lamp door on the back of the TV (4 screws) and then remove the lamp (1 screw). Have a look at the lamp... is it damaged? See my tips & tricks if you want to learn more about the lamp.

Unfortunately I see this in the shop all too often, where a client, thinking they are going to "Fix" their TV. usually all they do is spend good money after bad. and still do not fix the set. You see these things are "Symptoms" and usually the symptom and the cause are far removed. It would expect without doubt that the problem you are experiencing are Power supply orientated, most faults are, to do with the voltages not being correct due to a short circuit, or an open circuit. These rear projection TV's are VERY prone to failure, or maybe I should say that an awful lot of them seem to break down, perhaps more people own them? but in any event we get many at the shop.. more often the client want's us to make a home Visit as they are all just so big. Depending on the age of the TV, I would be more inclined to get a new TV, Plasma or LCD, or now LED.. The technology on these is very good. And i am sure you would not regret the doing of such. But if you wish to keep your existing unit i recommend that you get a free "Quote" for a repair from a reliable service center, especially if you take the set to them, else you are out a house call in any event. That way you can make an educated determination of what to do.. This may be a $100, repair or an $800 repair there is no way of knowing until one has the set in bits, then a diagnosis can be made.

The lamp is flashing an error code related to the temp. Count the blinks and check the manual. You may need a new bulb or the fan may not be coming on.

Google/ Encompass Parts Distrubtion 1-800-638-3328 they will have what you need as well as Parts list for this Model You need to first Look for Bad Capacitors on Power supply Board, they will be vented or puffed up on top, and if power supply board is OK, then your problem will be the DMD Module

I WOULD RECOMEND CHECKING YOUR CAPACTIORS (CAPS)ON YOUR BALLIST BOARD (THE ONE THE LAMP PLUGS INTO) IT'S ABOUT 3" X 8" IN SIZE DO NOT TOUCH THE BOTTOM OF THE BOARD!!!!!! YOU WILL END UP IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM. JUST LOOK TO SEE IF THE CAPS ARE BUBBLED OR BLOWN IN ANY WAY.

Ballast board it is what powers Lamp on and CK the Lamp Fan if it stops and is not keeping Lamp cool then set will shut off.Fans are not to stop running while set is turned ON. Encompass Parts Distrubtion

These symptoms are also related with lamp.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years? If lamp has been replaced then ballast could be suspected.
And if lamp has not been replaced then sounds time for new lamp.

try jumping the lamp door switcth they sometimes go bad

if the tv is not a 1080p model it will not accept a blueray signal and the optical output from the tv only works thru its own tuner not with the inputs or cable boxes

When you get an Unsupported mode error on this tv, its usually not the tv. Change the resolution on the source to something the tv can handle.

Sometimes samsung labels the component ports in the back of the set so you know what it can accept.
