Make Sure the Paper Trays Are Configured With the Correct Paper Size, Type, and Color

To configure settings for Paper Trays 1 and 2
  1. Open the paper tray.
  2. Make sure that the required paper stock is loaded in the paper tray, and that the paper edge guides are adjusted properly to fit the size of the paper.
  3. Close the paper tray. The Printer Settings screen will be displayed on the Touch Screen.
  4. Select [Size], and then select the size of paper loaded in the tray. If this is a standard size paper, the correct size will be selected automatically if the paper guides are adjusted correctly. If necessary, select [Custom] to enter the paper size if the required size is not displayed and then enter the required X and Y values.
  5. Select [Save].
  6. Select [Type], and then select the type of paper loaded in the tray.
  7. Select [Color], and then select the color of paper loaded in the tray.
  8. Select [Confirm].

"- To clear this fault, first remove the cause, next clear the value of NVM [744-248] to "0", and then turn the power OFF then ON.


The flag of NVM [744-248] indicates 0: Normal, 1: NCS-Center abnormal high temperature value, 2: STS-Rear abnormal high temperature value,
and 3: NCS and STS high temperature error.


- When turning the power OFF, turn OFF the power switch first and then the main power switch."

If you are several sub-menus deep inside the Diagnostic menu hierarchy, you will need to press the [Exit] button several times to return to the previous menu, and until you finally exit the Diagnostic mode.

  • Description:Image Ready Error Unable to send the Image-valid signal cannot within the specified time. NOTE: When the attempt to expand the image has failed, [016-776 Marker Code Detection Fail] occurs after the recover operation.
  • Remedy:1. Check the USB Cable (Local) for poor connection. 2. If no problem is found, replace the ESS/MCU PWB. (PL 18.1).

If the problem continues in a dedicated outlet then turn the machine off and unplug the network cable. Turn the machine back on with the network cable still disconnected. If the machine comes on properly then there is an issue with the network. If it still loops consider contacting consider contacting your local support centre for additional assistance.
