okay i had the same mp3 but the problem was the charger.. not the mp3... so i got a new charger.. and try to even get one for the wall instead the computer.. because they cost about the same and the one for the computer is not all the great in quality.

there is a button on the bottom of the player that slides from on to off. When the switch is turned to on press and hold the center button on the face of the device.
