Convergence problems, you would need to replace convergence amps and look for any return resistors to replace. The big STK's-*** are the amps.

I have the same problem with mine. i,m pretty sure that it is the built in surge protector is bad. Try unplugging the tv for 30 seconds then plug it back in and turn it on. If your surge protector has not completely gone bad this might work a few times. mine won't turn on at all anymore.

Yes if still comes on, then loose connection on board probably around power supply. Resolder loose connections, make sure all plugs are tight.

Convergence amp maybe out. These are the big STK's on the video board that stands by a heatsink. THis set is bad for going out. You also can tell by checking L.E.D lights in back of set do they all come on or do some come on and go off?

That sounds like it is not booting properly. I would check for correct power supply opperation and if not that, look for a software reloading procedure in the user instruction manual.
