If this copy-and-paste works right, below is a picture of your fuel pump from a net search---this is not an ad that benefits me---I put "2012 Ford F150 fuel pump" into a web engine and this is what came up. So from looking at that picture, I feel very sure this guy is INSIDE your fuel tank. Not easy to change out. I'd try changing the fuel filter which is often attached inside one of the frame rails under the truck and see if that's the problem first. Much easier and if it's plugged upD8IZYC, it would act like a failed fuel pump but BE CAREFUL if you've never done it before, you can get sprayed with high-pressure fuel. Good luck.

Have you checked the 'inertia switch' which in the event of an accident shuts off the fuel supply to prevent a fire . It's usually located in the cab on pass. side. Some models have one reset button, some 2 which have to be pressed at the same time. If that's not it, here's how the power to the pump SHOULD work, you will have to follow the path to see where it stops. When you turn the key on it turns on the EEC power relay on, this relay then provides power to the PCM (power control module) and the control side of the fuel pump relay. Power for the fuel pump is supplied through a fuse link or high current fuse attached to the starter solenoid (battery side). From the fuse link or high current fuse current flows thru the fuel pump relay and inertia switch to the fuel pump. The fuel pump relay is controlled by the PCM. When the ignition switch is turned on the fuel pump will operate, if the switch is NOT turned to start position, the PCM will shut off the fuel pump off after 1 second. This is to avoid flooding the engine when it is not running, just key on. So check out to see if you have a fuse link or a high current fuse and if they are blown.

Under your truck on the inner side of the frame rail on drivers side. All 5.4L, 4.6L, 4.2L all the same.

I have a 2004 Chevy S10 4x4 Crew Cab and need to know where fuel pump fuse and relay are located. Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks !

The fuel pump relay is in the engine compartment fuse/relay box . The relay on the control side is given B+ from the PCM - engine computer . The load side (fuel pump ) gets B+ voltage from the ECM B fuse 20 amp - location ,under hood fuse box.

Is there a fuel filter for each tank on a 1997 F350 crew cab 4x4 with a 460

There should be one filter per tank. If there is start with changing the fuel filter in the front tank and if you are still having problems then your front fuel pump seems like it may be going out.

2006 ford f150 4x4 crew cab 5.4 v8 has fuel odor in cab

Other than a fuel leak, the most likely cause is the filter pad in the charcoal evaporative canister, which is usually located in front of the engine near the radiator.
