Lots. cars bounce , wires flex and break then short. all moving machines to that. (bad designs. in my book) read "flight 800" and cry.

my wild guess is the radio fuse blows.???? why not say?
that means the line is shorted or the load there, is shorted.

the way to find this is easy, to hard.
disconnect the loads. short gone, its bingo time.

if not , the power feed is shorted.
that means this wire is shorted some where.

i have a magic tool, that finds this fast. most dont. (i have TDR)
but i have a LINK, to a long video of a man, Duane doing this.
and ASE master, watch him.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZrCrBx4uFY

its a trainng class, so is slow. but good.

what all techs to is ISOLATION method first.
loads off, ? still shorted. then
check the current with the magic, cheap circuit breaker and ammeter check.
then start pulling the harness connectors end to end
and find which section is shorted.
that is it , just that. its only a wire, nothing to fear
sometimes you can just follow it with eyes and see why its shorted.
its not magic, in the video the wire was burnt by the exhaust parts.
one more example with real car, real schematics as an example.

good luck finding your shorts.

On 2005 Toyota tazz My dome light positive wire short cercuit. Then my radio switched off Now my radio and dome light not working

Sounds like you probably burned a fuse in the fuse box. I would suggest repairing the positive wire, then check and change the blown fuse.

I have a slow battery drain on my 2001 Toyota echo. I have traced it to the Dome Light fuse, but it isn't the dome light. (removed the light, battery drain remains). When I pull the fuse, it kills the...

It might be shorted to another circuit. Does ammeter read below 0.30 amps. Sounds like its shorting between door-ajar and radio. You have to back probe circuits until you find the short.

I have a 1989 chevy s10 horn radio and dome light not working keeps blowing horn/dm fuse out

Check inside the drivers and passenger side door jam for the little push in type switch. 9x out of 10 one or the other will be causing the short to the dome fuse. These little **** get rusty and also get alot of wear and tear from the door opening and shutting over and over. These switchs are what causes your dome light to come on when you open your door and or likewise they shut your dome light off when you shut you door. A very good way to test to see if one of these little switchs is the couprate is to take and hook up a voltage light into the negative side battery post after you disconnect the battery negative line.. If your voltage light is on than that would mean that you have a short somewhere in your system. Now, since you already know that you are blowing the dome fuse then your already halfway there. With the light on your votage light still on indicatin a short, unscrew the little switch on the door jam and disconnect the power wire from it. Check to see if the light on your voltage light is still indicating a short, if not then you can be sure that the door jam was the coulprete. Hope this is of help.

1997 Crown Vic blows radio fuses

The quickest way to find a short circuit is by putting a bulb in place of the fuse. Anytime the time the bulb lights there is a load. And if the load is a shorted wire the brightness of the bulb will give you a hint. So while you're at it, finding a 'short' is a quicky...keep your eyes on the bulb. gotcha!
