1991 honda accord ex headlight problems

Just purchased a 1991 accord ex manual trans and ac. when you start the car with the key in run position the tail lights and headlight go on and stay on. this happens even when the headlight switch in the off position. i changed the headlight switch thinging that this was the most possable cause. this worked one but it went back to the same problem. I changed the ignition lock cylinder and ignition switch thinking that there might a hangup there..no luck same problem.
diconnnected the turn signal and headlight swiches from ignition swich and the same problem. headlight and taillights still burn even when no juice at the swich..where to go from here--

Hello, firstly I was wondering if the lights shut off when you pull the switch off the harness?
If YES, then THAT switch or wiring could be bad
if NO, then it's most likely the body control module

Why is my 91 honda accord ex s light flashing?

This is a trans issue, and OBD scanners won't read these. Jump the 2 pin OBD connector and count the light flashes to get the code #. Then go online to find a list of codes for your Honda.

1991 Accord: I have a 1991 honda accord ex and after the hoses ...

You may have a cracked head, block or blown head gasket that is leaking combustion gas into the cooling system. If you dont have a combution leak detector kit you can take it to a trusted mechanic tell them the problems you've had and the parts you've replaced. Ask them to check for a combustion leak in the cooling system. A minor combustion leak in the cooling system can sometimes mimic the symptoms of overheating.
