SOURCE: HP Solution Center

When you click on the icon it is trying to open an xml file which is like a web page. The parsing error means there is an error in the page. I think the best way to cure this problem is to go to http://www.hp.com/#Support and put in the model number of your computer and download new drivers for your printer. You should also uninstall any current drivers you have from control panel's add and remove programs.

HP Solution Center won't work

HP sucks for customer assistance - will only help you out during warranty period and then afterwards, refer you to a forum! Or they will tell you to buy a new one - hp of course!

Did you change the operating system? Software will not always work with a new OS. Sometimes you can get a patch. Other times you are SOL.

I HAVE UPGRADED MY DESK TOP FROM WIN VISTA TO WIN 7 HOME BASIC. I UPLOADED THE DRIVER FOR HP OJ 5610 FOR WIN 7. IT IS SUCCESSFULY UPLOADED BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO USE THE HP SOLUTION FUNCTIONALITY AS IT SHOWS...

SOLUTION:
Here are the steps to resolve this issue (was tested):
Disconnect printer USB from the computer.
Inside the HP software/driver cd, go to "util" directory > "ccc" directory.
In here run Uninstaller_L1 through L4 in order.
Check Add/Remove programs inside Control Panel for additional HP programs that weren't removed and remove them.
Delete HP and/or Hewlett-Packard directory inside Program Files.
Goto Program Files > Common Files and delete HP and/or Hewlett-Packard directory there as well.
Go to Start>Run and type "temp". inside this folder delete all files.
Go to Start>Run and type "%temp%". inside this folder delete all files.
For additional cleanup when using Vista, you can download Cleanup Utility and search for additional HP components that weren't removed. Here's a link for the program: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Restart and reinstall the driver using the CD or web driver.
The issue should now be resolved.
