Error code J001 shows up after a jam - Ricoh Aficio 250 Copier

This means the machine has been turned on with a jam inside the machine someplace. If you have opened everything in the machine and found nothing then it is time to call a service technician.

first is clean the sensors especially the exit sensor, check also the door switches maybe they are not functioning well so the jam will not be reset

check the registration knob which you can turn by opening the front door and it is located on the right bottom. and also open the right cover to see do the paper comes out as you turn the know from the front, towards left...

no reset button>sounds like one of the feed sensors still seing the paper or possibly covered in dust and its thinks there is still paper jam. Take all the trays out look inside see if there is any paper in there. turn the copier on with no trays in the copier.Hope that helps.

when your copier paper jam in fuser unit area. than show H5-01 error code.
if you fix it self,open right door and relese the jam paper carefully.
