Hi - These HL-5250DN Drum light comments are great but I cannot even find where the drum IS within my printer to take it out, replace it. Can you help? Thanks

Open the front door and pull the toner/drum cartridge out of machine. Remove the toner cartridge from the drum unit by pressing a lever. This will leave you an empty drum unit and a seperate toner cartridge.

need printer service ,some times when the laser unit dirty than u should clean all optical mirror inside laser unit. sometime comes from drum , also if the fuser unit defective, last chance change toner cartridge.
1. Unplug the printer. 2. Remove the drum. 3. Make sure there are no obstructions. Check for pieces of paper obstructing the feed and any small objects such as torn paper or even a stray fingernail. 4. Replace the drum. 5. Plug in the printer. 6. Attempt to print again.
Try this.... no guarantees but I have seen this work.
1: Turn off power and remove toner/drum 2: Tape the little spring loaded lever just inside the printer on the upper left hand side in the *DOWN* position! Do not replace drum yet and... 3: Turn power on to printer and let it cycle. Status/Toner lights will come on as usual. 4: Turn off printer, remove tape from lever, replace drum and turn back on.
Hit the purple/blue button on the top of the printer 3 times. This will print a settings report of the printer showing you the toner levels and the drum life.
If you need a new drum purchase one. (I would suggest a new printer at this time but if you like it continue on)

The reason the drum light keeps flashing is that you have to "reset" the machine after you've installed a new drum. To do this, I believe all you have to do is make sure the printer is on and then push and hold down the "GO" button a few seconds and then the flashing will stop. This will "reset" the printer to recognize you've installed a new drum. I'm going from memory on that, but I believe that's correct. It's a really simple solution. Good luck!
Hi! sandy; Your printer not really heavey duty one, and you give them big jobs, for a sample, you give adult jobs to the baby, it not going run, so your machine need a break! nothing wrong just give them little bit rest.
You just need to reset your drum counter. To do that, open up the printer and hold down the Go button for a few seconds, until the LED lights all light up (the toner, drum, and paper lights all should turn yellow). That should do the trick!
