Yeah, I have the HL-5250DN printer. The light

Yeah, I have the HL-5250DN printer. The light indicator for the drum keeps flashing on and off. I checked the drum nothing wrong. Still keeps flashing. I printed out the setting for the printer and it shows the remaining life of the drum at 5.6%. I replaced the drum with a new one and still got the same problem. Any solutions?

I have the same problem. I replaced the drum with a new one. The problem persists. I printed less than one toner cart. on this new drum and it started printing some sort of mark on the bottom of every page after 3/4 of the toner was gone. So after less than one toner cart. used on the drum, I purchased another drum. I have printed 16 pages and the toner light has been flashing since the beginning. No wierd printing yet.

Hi there -

The reason the drum light keeps flashing is that you have to "reset" the machine after you've installed a new drum. To do this, I believe all you have to do is make sure the printer is on and then push and hold down the "GO" button a few seconds and then the flashing will stop. This will "reset" the printer to recognize you've installed a new drum. I'm going from memory on that, but I believe that's correct. It's a really simple solution. Good luck!

My paper keeps jamming after I changed the drum of my printer in my Brother HL-5250DN printer-- it seems that I touched something when I did so.

1. Unplug the printer.
2. Remove the drum.
3. Make sure there are no obstructions. Check for pieces of paper obstructing the feed and any small objects such as torn paper or even a stray fingernail.
4. Replace the drum.
5. Plug in the printer.
6. Attempt to print again.

Brother 5250dn and all light are blinking

That series of lights indicates a main circuit board failure. You will need a shop to replace the main logic PCB. Could be caused by anything, static shock, bad input power from power strip or power failure, just plain CPU failure. If it's under warranty, 1 year since purchase, you need a Brother service center, out of warranty a new printer would cost less than repair.

I have a Brother HL-5250, drum light on, not printing

When the drum light is on solid, it's time for a new drum, if you have a new drum, just open the front door and hold the go button til all lights flash and the drum is reset. Press the go button 3 times and it will print a sheet showing the drum status.

Drum

You just need to reset your drum counter. To do that, open up the printer and hold down the Go button for a few seconds, until the LED lights all light up (the toner, drum, and paper lights all should turn yellow). That should do the trick!
