Hi, I have a toshiba A300-035 psagoc-03501c I own it since 2 years. I was doing normal work, when it suddenly started to smell kind of burn smell. And a blue screen appeared and nothing. Now, i can't power on the laptop, only the light goes on when i put the power cord, but after i press on the power button, the light goes off, and nothing happens. What i did : Try without battery, try open laptop, change ram slot, reconnect all drives. Nothing. What are your advices?

Hi there! Normally, in this case, since the laptop just had a burning/burnt smell, it does suggest that something has been burnt inside it. It could be the motherboard itself or the processor.

If this laptop is still under warranty, you can try calling Toshiba Support line to have it taken care of. Normally, it will require for you to ship it over to their Depot, and from there they will be able to know which part/parts are bad and have it replaced.

Although, if this is NOT under warranty anymore, you will need to pay for the said hardware replacement.

Whichever way, I would strongly recommend for you to contact Toshiba so that they can give you options on how to fix your laptop.

Smelly fridge`

Can you describe the smell or relate it to something common? Plastic, burned wires, fishy, rotted meat, etc. Is it only when you open the door or can you smell it outside too? Are the temps normal in the freezer and refer sections? When did the smell suddenly get noticed?
