in my case i dont use belkin wireless usb.ive rather use same brand with my router.i got dlink router too just like yours..and i have edimax wireless 802.11b/g/n nano usb adapter..well up to now no problem getting slow DL and UL. try it..
IF it says you are connected wireless, you are connected the DLink router. But the DLink router is not configured properly. If you connect your pc directly to the modem and goes online then that is a proof that the DLink is not properly setup. There is a possible IP conflict between the modem and router. I suggest you change the IP address of the router to 10.10.10.1 .
you need to enable the USB settings under power options
start>>control panel>>power options>>click change plan settings of whatever is highlighted(ex balanced recommended)>>change advanced power settings>>USB settings>>USB selective suspend settings>>setting should be enabled
have you ran the installation wizard that came with that router. it will make the connections for you. and you have to have a wireless adapter in your computer and turned on when you do it. the wizard will walk you through it, it is one the installation cd
Hi,,
Did you check whether the USG adapter can work in "G" mode, read the manual of the usb adapter and check whether it can operate in "G" mode since your router is a wirelss "G" model the devices which detectes signals should also work in :g" mode, And most of the inbuilt adaters are viable with a/b/g/N type routers, so please check the manual and let me know
Thanks,
