Canon has no driver for CanoScan N1240U on its website for Windows 7. But, if you want to try with the one for Windows Vista, you can find it here: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/scanners/canoscan_series/canoscan_n1240u#DriversAndSoftware

click "Drivers and Software" then select OS "Windows XP" then download "WIAdriverN670UN676UN1240U.EXE"

Install the WIA driver on your Windows 7 OS and used only mspaint to capture image on the scanner


TWAIN doesn't work on Win7 but WIA still doesGood Luck!

hey try to crop it, once the scan image is been previewed the sides of the scanned image can be resize, try to resize it by using your mouse.

I need to reinstall on my new computer my canonscan lid 25 and misplace the cd

If you google the manufacturer and go to their website you should be able to download them there, also there are other sites to pull it from. When you do the googole search you'll see several options for this.

Yes you need at the minimum the drivers to use this. You can find them and probably the whole operating system over athttp://www.driverguide.com ,,http://crownpc.no-ip.info
