I have windows 7 and the cannon scanner canoscan n124ou is there a driver for windows 7?

I use a Canon CanoScan fs 4000us with Windows 7. I Use program VueScan 8.6.63 and a USB-cable. It need no driver.

canon scan n1240u will work on Win7


here's how:

click "Drivers and Software" then select OS "Windows XP" then download "WIAdriverN670UN676UN1240U.EXE"

Install the WIA driver on your Windows 7 OS and used only mspaint to capture image on the scanner


TWAIN doesn't work on Win7 but WIA still doesGood Luck!

They did not make a win 7 driver yet, so you can try the vista driver, not sure if win 7 will allow it but does not hurt to try, sometimes it will error
OS not supported.

Here is the vista driver on the canon website below.

You can also plug it in and go to devise MGR and have it update the driver, if windows see's it, or when you plug it in windows might ask if it can search for one.
