Hi,

The only solution i have for you is just for you to make sure the papers been loaded is touching the end of the paper carrier side unless it won't pick any paper. And please make sure every tray of the printer is placed well. Thank you.

Best of luck.

I can't get the Dell 3110cn laser printer to print A5 size (5.5 x 8) paper even though I loaded it in the tray. The printer asks me to load paper tray. I'm using Word 2003 on a Windows XP machine.

Go to the control panel and open tyour printer folder.

Right-click default printer and select properties.

sleect the paper tab and configure the printer to print on a size A5 paper.

Then click apply.

My printer says load paper then press start, I have paper in there and it wont print.

Dont know what you have already tried but first off verify that you are loading paper to the correct tray. Now this tray is going to have a switch located toward the feeder that tells the printer paper is loaded make sure the paper is back far enough but not to the point where you are forcing the paper into the feeder. If all this still doesnt work try reseting the printer and printing a test page. Hope this helps.

My Dell Color Laser Printer 5110 cn won't print. It keeps saying ''Load MPF Letter'' then ''Load MPF Plain'' then ''Load MPF 020-969

it's asking for paper in the manual Paper Feeder (MPF). Somewhere in your settings you have it printing to the MPF. Check the settings in the printer prefrences, the printer itself and the software you're using.
Cheers.

Dell 3000cn keep getting load mpf when i try to print but there is paper in the tray. how do I get it to recognize the paper. I've changed nothing on the computer but this just started to happen! please...

I have a Dell 3010n myself, and a few times I did run into that "Load MPF" issue.
1.) Before printing a document, please check and see the properties. i.e. Kind/type of paper, which tray, or if printing envelopes or any other document than a regular 8 x11 paper. Putting all the tray and paper type selection on "Auto" can be very helpful.
2.) On the printer itself, there is a menu button where you can configure the type of paper, i.e. regular 20 llb. copy/print paper, glossy photopaper, thicker paper - after you place a fresh load on the paper tray and slide it in, usually it will ask you which type of paper you just loaded. Make sure it is the same settings as the document that you are trying to print: i.e. if document settings on computer was set to print on photopaper and you have regular paper on the tray, the printer will do a "Load MPF".
The paper sensor on it is amazingly (for a Dell, that is) sensitive and it can differentiate across a lot of paper types/thickness. If you have several computers and user across a network, and there are several paper-type settings done on the printer itself, this "Load MPF" issue will present itself more often.
In my case, it's simply because the person who recently changed the paper-type to glossy cover paper from some user who previously printed to a transparency forgot to revert MPF/Tray 1 to regular copy/print paper. Most cases, the printer setting on the PC has been left to print on to a transparency by default, so even if I stack the tray with copy paper to the hilt, it still will do "Load MPF".

The printer message says: load paper tray and it is already load

Something to try, The paper (roller) may be slipping on the paper giving false reading of Load paper tray. UNPLUG THE PRINTER FROM MAINS and CLEAN the (roller) as best you can with quick drying solution, Tape cleaner or Similar. Good luck Bob.

Dell 3100cn Printer will not print

I had to actually change the settings in Microsoft Word to resolve this problem.

If you go to page setup > paper source > there should be lists for "first page" and "other pages".

You can set this to "as per printer settings" and hopefully it should work.

No paper light stays on and printer won't print (paper is full)

hmmm...that sounds like you need to reset to defaults in the menu/settings area. Or you may need new drivers.
