After so long dvd players and audio players they will only play certan formated songs for mpg but new up to date plays the newer formated codacs that was created to make the song play.

I would definitely install the firmware update if you have it. but it could be any number of things. The songs could be encoded to an incompatible bitrate or the songs format could be unsupported by your player. Have you tried converting the songs to a different format? I hope i was able to help.
#1 Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com #2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives. #3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive. #4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'. #5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place. #6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.
If the device is still detected by your computer, you can open up Mycomputer and look for the device and select format and that shoudl the problem.....
It is a poor quality player. It probably isn't built-to-last and as I can see, has problems. Try going into My Computer and right click it, Format it and select all the songs and drag onto the player and see what happens.
Maybe its the unsupported format. Format the song you want to play using .mp3 format, 128kbps, 4400Hz (or whatever), and 2.0 (stereo) to see if it works.
This is a Flash memory Problem first format it after fromat i will works up to 75% memory other wise its capacity will change use these format options
