I feel its very probable that the cam belt is not timed as accurately as it should be .. this will certainly cause all that you mention - ie, starting troubles - smoke on occasion especially when its struggling to start and also, the starting in limp mode....or, if its not true limp mode... missing / poor running ... ( it wont be true limp mode if there is no engine light / fault codes ) So - the timing / timing belt really has to be checked first ..and put right / go from there.. You will get oil in the pipe you mention - thats normal..so long as its not absolutely swimming in it - it shouldn't be awash - but there will be some... Just check the oil level with the dipstick though - Its imperative that its not even a smidgen above the high mark... if it is - it can cause severe engine damage... it would need to be drained off some. Ideally the oil level should be just below the top mark. Even a slight overfill will cause smoke too. After the above - I will just mention, this engine does suffer with faulty ECT sensor... This when failing, will also cause poor starting and smoke and missing... You could if you wish , try that first - fit a new one. Again - its a very common fault on these... The sensors are only about $30 and changed in mins. It is possible that this sensor has failed with all the work thats gone on.. So do bear that in mind also... These sensors wont always set a fault code neither when they go down. Hope helps.
hi it sounds like your plasma has gone in stand by mode look on youtube will tell you all about stand by type in how to fix and tv make model stuck in stand by more than likely capacitors blown if your not any good soldering boards id phone tv guy out but if you are then youtube it hope this hopes
THE WAY I DO IT FOR ALL TV usually you got 4 screw in the back of the tv need the bottom be sure to put tv face down on your bed you gone have a surprise gone fall from the stand and pull it from the tv by the buttom
Can you unplug the TV for about 15 seconds, and then plug back in and watch the stand-by light. Tell me how many time the stand-by light blinks in regular intervals. If it doesn't blink at all, you need to change a fuse on the g-board. Once this is done run back through the stand-by blink light process, and more troubleshooting can be done if problem isn't already solved. If the stand-by light just keeps blinking with a count over ten just tell me, and I'll look for other possibilities.
Hi, Remove 5 screws as shown in below image to remove stand of TV. It is also mentioned in user manual of TV page-5, click Toshiba Support to download a copy, if required. Thanks.
The All for One Remote has a "Magic" button, instead of entering a code press the magic button and then press stand by, if the box does not turn on/off, then repeat the process (magic button and stand by) until it does. when it eventually goes off, store the code(i think you press ok).
Red LED flashes probably five times.
You have not mentioned the model no, so I have to guess it is few years old model.eg FE2 chssis or similar.
Most common reason, R618 270k ohms in power section has gone high.
Second, screen voltage control is slightly misaligned.
Third, high value resistors on tube base, normally two connected to screen voltage control pot have gone high.
You need to have some knowledge , a multi meter and soldering iron and know safety procedures before trying yourself.
