My hp tv wont turn on

My hp plasma tv turned of on its own and wont turn back on. I sounds like it is trying to turn on by itself. "its like somebody keeps pressing the power button over and over again", but I am not pressing anything. When I do press the button It keeps doing the same thing.

Hi it sounds like your plasma has gone in stand by mode look on youtube will tell you all about stand by type in how to fix and tv make model stuck in stand by more than likely capacitors blown if your not any good soldering boards id phone tv guy out but if you are then youtube it hope this hopes

dude, I almost gave up.. try this link. Apparently lots of people experienced this problem so HP gave an extended warranty for models like these.

Here's the number to HP case management 877-917-4380 ext.79, try this number and be firm that they need to fix this, I just had an HP plasma that was 3 yrs old replaced for free, no charge. Good luck

SOURCE: Deskjet F2210 wont scan

Click start

Click programs

Click HP

Click HP support center

Click Scan.

Ths scan button on the deskjeyt itself wont work, but the scand command done directly in the computer does.

Tries tv unplung,replug it back like about an hour later.For the tv to do a resetting itself back to the factory setting.Tv now 50/50 the tv might work as normal again.If the tv dosen't.Tv have a dead 1 or 2 backlight buffers boards have to be replacing.These 2 long backlight buffers boards only job are to provided a tv plasma screen panel for a backlight to see the picture.Tv now the plasma screen panel have no backlight that why ur tv have only audio sound and no picture.No experience in tv repair and never done any electronic board parts replacement before.Best just call many tv shops and explain the tv situation it in and get the best quote prices for parts and labors.Best prices parts and labors should be around $400 is fair more than that as i said shops around for more tv repair shops.

My 42 inch samsung plasma wont turn on, it keeps making the clicking sound every 5ish seconds like its trying to turn itself on but nothing... then after a while it will come on, perfect working order then...

You have bad caps on the SMPS. Either replace the caps or replace the SMPS

HP PL5060N 50 my plasma will not start, I have a surge multiple plug, here in Mexico electric surge is very common, when i try to turn it on, it makes a click sound and turn off, It wont even display...

The "Clicking sound is what gives it away. It would seem that your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.

My plasma turns itself off for about 10 20 mins

It seems that your unit has some sort of Thermal PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur. After it shuts down and the faulty component(s) cool down, it restarts again until it once again goes critical and shuts down again only to repeat the cyle.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.

My 50 inch samsung plasma tv turns off and on by itself. it also clicks while this happens.

My Samsung 52" plasma TV will shut off while watching TV. It will do it repeatedly and we have to turn it back on. Is it overheating and shuts down? How can this be fixed?

HP-R5052 reboot

It's definitely an overheating problem if your plasma turns off by itself after a while. I would suggest to place a cooling fan near the back of it as a temporary fix.
There could be a power supply issue along with a Ysustainer board but in order to know that for sure, you should use a hair drier and blow hot air to the power supply and see if the TV turns off, if the time that the tv turns off is shorter when blowing hot air to the power supply; then is the power supply issue.

It related with Power Board(50%) or Y-Main(50%).
But, if you use the power bar with surge protacton, need to check
the power bar's lamp when the TV is turning on & off.

If there is no picture and not even a hint of backlighting, it sounds like the plasma panel itself may have gone bad.

My plasma TV turns itself off and there's nothing I can do to get it come back on...

Firmware is avialable for download on the philips web site. The latest one that is the bundle of mutiple patches may not patch all the problems. Looks like it has to be applied indivdually.. -anil
