My samsung rs20br has ice build up on the floor of the freezer, under the bottom drawer. I defrosted it but it has come back . How can i fix this?

Believe it or not your freezer has a heater that defrost your freezer. It runs on a cycle to keep the ice from building up. Your freezer may be set to cold or the heater isn't working properly.

The bottom of my Panasonic frig freezer NR-B29SG2 keeps forming ice making it difficult to open the bottom drawer

Confirm that the seal around the door is tight.
Confirm that the door is fully closed with no obstructions and the door alignment is correct.
Confirm no ice between door and seal.

Using a strip of paper test the tension between the door and seal around the door.

Check the freezer temperature.

It is possible that the defrost cycle has stopped operating. Usually the self defrost will prohibit proper cooling as the ice builds up on the cooling coils. Look for ice build up on the cooling coils/vent openings.

Check the freezer and refrigerator temperatures.

Hope this has helped?

Hello Omie;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.
Bottom drawer & bottom freezers are nightmares. Next time but a side by side or top freezer.
Ok, lets fix this. Using a hair dryer defrost all of the ice around the door. Next, you have a rack and pinion assembly that the drawer rides on. This also is iced up. Defrost the rack & pinion.
When you close the drawer you will probably have a gap on one side. This is caused from the ice build up and the rack and pinion jumping a tooth.
Where the side is that has the gap, you must lift the drawer and jerk hard towards the gap to jump a rack and pinion on the opposite side. You may have to repeat this. It is a strong arm operation.

The bottom freezer drawer is not closing so the freezer is getting an ice build up

It sounds like you either have a drawer that's off track, or something has fallen behind the drawer, not allowing the drawer to close. Empty the freezer, and pull the drawer all the way out. Look behind the basket of the drawer and see if some thing has fallen behind it. If nothing is behind the drawer, then the drawer must be off track. At this point, you'll need to pull the drawer out to the most extended point. Now push the drawer back in about 3-4 inches an **** it open fairly hard. Not hard enough to move the whole refrigerator. Just enough to put the drawer back on track. Hope this helps. : )

My FFa70 hotpoint freezer will not close unless i take out all the drawers. What is the problem?

there is something wrong with the drawers position. they could have been installed in the reverse position or they could have been in the wrong placement. one could be on top while the other could be at the middle.

try putting the drawers one by one and check each time if the door could be close by then.

tnx 4 using fixya,
