Won't Turn On

I inhereted my Panasonic PT-52DL10 in 2004. Before I had it sat in a relatives apartment in Florida and was barely used. When I got it in 2004 the lamp was not working yet at that point it was under warranty and was replaced. The TV was used almost daily between 2004-2005. However, I moved in 2005 and the set was too big for my bedroom so it was put in my finished basement and has been rarely used since then (at most maybe 1-2 hours per week). I am now about two weeks away from moving again and when I tried to start it up about a week ago the green "on" light blinks yet the set doesnt start. The lamp replacement light is not illuminated and shouldnt be because it is supposed to last 5000 hours. I tried turning it on again today and the green "on" light blinked for a while then went to standby. I then tried turning it on from the remote and green light just kept blinking. I have check the manual and there is nothing in there about green "on" light continually blinking. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

I just went through this issue. First, we replaced the bulb which did nothing.  Next, I swapped out the ballast assembly which did nothing.
Basically, the color wheel is not spinning up, preventing the lamp from firing.  One cannot buy just the color wheel, though.  You need the entire light engine which is about $2000.  Only, they are no longer available.
I may take this unit over to my shop and try whacking the color wheel and see if it will spin up.  If it does, then problem found.  If not, the set is landfill bound.

Reset timer panasonic d6000

Hello!
Have you bought bare lamp? Probably, yes. And not from "Panasonic"? yes. The timer's reset procedure is different for every model of Panasonic, including TVs. when you buy lamp with housing from Panasonic, they will give you the directions, how to. If it's "aftermarket", nope!
http://www.manualowl.com/m/Panasonic/PT-D5600U/Manual/52045
that's where you will find the procedure. it's quite complicated, page 45.
follow the directions.
good luck,
Alex.

I have RED verticle lines all the way across the screen fro top to bottom 10 minutes after I turn my Panasonic PT-52LCX65 TV on. Is there a solution?

Hello
Check and replace the main filter capacitor in the power supply section. Replace all of them in the secondary section of the power supply too. The problem is due to insufficant smoothing and regulatio fo the power supply section. If main smoothing capacitor gets value deveoped, it won't supply enough voltage to the switching section, and switching section also will go inefficient. Replace all of them. It won't cost not much. OK.

Hi,

The most common cause of Panasonic Rear Projection LCD TVs not starting is bulb failure. The PT-60LC13 users manual gives some help in translating the LEDs on the front of the TV.

If the TV worked normally for a period of time (months or years) and won't start, the most likely cause is bulb failure. There is no way to measure the bulb, sometimes the bulb is visibly damaged when it fails. Remove the Lamp Assembly and look at the bulb.

If there was an On-Screen Lamp Replace warning and TV won't start, bulb has failed.

The first step with all Panasonic Rear Projection TV "No Picture" problems is bulb replacement. If that does not remedy the problem, get a technician, there are no user serviceable parts. Guessing if the ballast, power supply, controller board or optical engine is faulty is not practical.

The Panasonic Lamp Gallery shows all Panasonic models and Lamp Numbers. There is also a link to Panasonic DIY bulb and lamp replacement.

TV shut off and cannot turn back on

If your tv is around 2-4 yrs or used 6000-8000 hrs, never replaced the lamp before it could be time to replace it.The other most common failure is the board that powers the lamp, which is called the ballast. When its bad it will make a clicking sound or like wanting to turn on.The part # for your lamp is TYLA1000 you can find it here:http://www.discount-merchant.com/Panasonic-TY-LA1000-Lamp-DLP-TV-bare-lamp-p/panasonic-ty-la1000-lamp.htm Good luck and God bless you!

Split screen

Yes I get the same problem with my Sony XBR and its Pace PVR.
The problem seems related to using HDMI interconnects; viewing the PVR through component leads allows the TV to switch modes easily, otherwise I have to turn the tv off and then back on again.
