Hello, sounds like you have a difficult problem.

First, I recommend that you unplug the tv and wait 60 seconds before plugging it back in. If it come on and stays on great. If it comes on and then turns back of, then the problem is likely in the tv. If it does not come on, try plugging the tv into a differnt outlet. Most likely you will need to contact a technician. Please refer to our online list of technicians to find a service person near you. Good luck :)

I heard two popping sounds and now my television will not power on.

A popping sound as you describe sounds as if your tv blew a couple capicators on the main control board. More than likely , you are needing to aquire a new main circuit board.

Heard a pop, tv went off, and it won't power up

Power supply in most cases and a lot of the time the part is under a heat sink where you cannot see it.

You might have more help if you posted the question again with the exact brand and model number.......

I heard a pop. The TV went off then when I turned it back on the white has red pixels showing. Seems one of the LCD colors went out. Is there a fix. The TV is jsut over a year old.

This is a plasma tv not lcd. The pop mostlikely was a part on the y main board. IF the y-main voltage shifts the set will have red sparkels.

I think that the pop you heard was an electrolytic capacitor blowing its top on the picture frame board. If you are able to check this for yourself by looking on the board for the one/s with a bulging top or are a brownish/black colour like something has caught fire. And also in this situation smell can be of great help as it will smell burnt out but PLEASE before putting your nose or anything else in the tv take all necessary precautions against electric shock and discharge any electrolytic capacitors in the vicinity. If you are not able to do this yourself find a competant technician. Hope this helps.
