Question about Mitsubishi WD-73827 73" HDTV DLP TV

I heard a popping sound in my tv, then it shut off. I turned it back on with no picture, then the green light went off and the red light came on. Is it the lamp?

Yes , the lamp went out , u can get a shipone over the internet or buy the original from mitsubishi , i recomment the mitsubishi

time to take it in for a proper diasgnosis and then to decide if to fix or not

Is is standby light blinking red or any other light? Let me know how many times red standby light blinking after three seconds long pause to provide you helpful info.
It seems pop sound was due to broken lamp, please check lamp inside tv and if it is broken, replace it to solve tv problem.

An electrolytic capacitor has gone bad in you high voltage section of your TV or the high voltage oscilater has gone failed please have tech check and replace

Your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur. The sound is it starting up, shutting down, over and over.

You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.

LG plasma have an amber light when turning on then green then red

After all the research I found out that the IC on the Z board is bad and new board was ordered and replaced. The plasma work fine after that and picture is excellent with the new board. This forum is great, without this I couldn't fix it myself. Thank you.

CHANGE BULB SOUND WORKBUT NO PICTURE.GREEN LIGHT

If you still have red light , it means the temperature of the lamp is too much. Did you buy the original part number of the lamp.

Sounds like the Power supply module. I would take it in to service center ASAP!

Tv will not power on normally. The green light flashes intermittently and when the power does come on it has sound but no picture. Tv has been well taken care of and is less than 2 years old.
