No water coming to washer

Our washer acts as though it is going to turn on, but then does not fill up with water. On the last load that was ran, (which was towels) they were sopping wet when we took them out of the washer. When you turn the washer on, it does not pump water into the drum. The timer sets to 48 minutes and begins to count down, but nothing else happens, not spinning, agitation, or anything. There is no error code reported.

We have taken out the coin trap assembly to see if there was a blockage and there is none....

Does any one have any ideas? Please help!!!

Hi,

It can be a few things.

Simple one first. Where your hose connects to the machine is a filter in eache hose. Clean those as they will plug up and cause this same situation.
2nd: If that does not help it can be 2 things.

Pressure switch ( stuck in full position)

or water valves in the dispenser area.

How do I fix a washing machine that doesn't fill with water, but spins and drains? Water enters the detergent holder, but doesn't seem to make it to the tub. Draining can be heard as well, even though

Hum for one a front load H.E washer should not be having very much suds as u claim it had. Are u aware the front loads are made to use very little soap and if u use to much soap hence alot of suds, ur SUDS SENSOR will act up and can shut down any wash cycle. a trick is to run just water and some vinagar trough a couple loads if u can get to wash at all. Another issue u may have is a plugged line somewhere. or loose unconnected water hose line hence the water on the ground effect. u may want to check ur flow line from the entry into the tub where the water at the moment I cant recall the name of the gadget but it can get clogged or damaged and hinder the water from entering the tub

eb3 = incomming line voltage below 90 volts

check voltage at outlet, if above 90 volts replace control board
would strongly recomend having a profesional look at it ... this should save both of you some time and money though.....

When machine is not in use, with door open, tub will have water

You have a faulty fill valve

If you want to check which one, try turning off the cold supply only before you go to bed

If the washer has water in it next morning it is the hot valve that has gone faulty if it is dry then it is the cold one

They are easy to change and can be bought from a number of suppliers

The rinse cycle does not work, but everything else does

I don't know if the problem is solved but last night we ran the washer without any clothes in it and everything seemed to work fine. My wife was able to run a load of laundry and it seemed to work. I hope it was just too much clothes the first time it stopped or the washer was just acting up. Either way, I had nothing to do with the fix. Sorry I couldn't be any more help. Thank you for the link to assistance plan, it might come in handy in the future.

Thanks again,

Water fill, discharge and noise problems

to reset the water level you have to turn the knob all the way over as far as it will go and then come back to large load.
