Black ink cartridge

Replaced blank ink cartridge and printer still says low and replace. Also, since I've replaced, I have shadowing, fading and skipped lines. Bought the replacement at a refill business, brought it back three times and 3rd time they gave me a new cartridge. Still continues. I've had my printer for 3 yrs--no problems until I replaced the original cartridge which was recently. Suggestions??

Bought a Dell refill cartridge at Officemax. It prints ok but the unit still claims it is low. How do we get the message to go away?

prints slightly on a slant and on one line it will print the line with a white streak thru the line. The white streak actually causes the word to split and the top half prints above the line an the lower half prints below the line.

I have just bought a black ink replacement and my printer is still telling me that the black ink is still low. It won't print an alignment properly either.

WOW maybe you shouldn't give people advice if you have no idea what you are talking about. The print heads on Dell printers are built into the cartridge themselves. How would that damage the printer? I have been using remanufactured cartridges for my dell the whole time I have owned it. It works the same way and no problems. Just make sure you are getting your items from a reputable dealer.

It seems that its an hardware issue with the printer as you have already replaced the cartridge with a new one.
If the printer is in warranty contact DELL to get the printer replaced.

I would also suggest you not to use refill cartridges. Always buy genuine cartridges. As using refilling cartridges spolis the printer.
It damaged the print heads in the printer.

Hp officejet pro blank pages with full ink cartridges.

Try reinstalling all of the printer software. If that does not do it then something is wrong with the printhead itself, specifically the area that controls the flow and metering of the black ink.

I have a HL4040CN copier. When the message comes up that ink is low, how can I tell what color ink cartridge needs replacing

You're just going to have to keep printing until you see which cartridge is getting dry. It'll be either the black one or the colour one. This way you won't buy the wrong cartridge. If you print black text and it starts to come out grey then it's the black cartridge that needs to be replaced. The same with colour, if the picture looks faded then you'll need a new colour cartridge.

HP officejet pro 8500 ink cartridge problem

Changing a printer cartridge is not complex but improper handling of the parts may damage the printer and the cartridge. If the user notices that while printing the ink comes out dry or faded, it may be time to change the ink or the toner. The user will know if it is time to change the toner because instead of a sharp image, one will get a faded image. It is time to change the ink cartridge when the printing comes out spotty or colors are used to replace others —for instance, blue for black or yellow for red. Remember, faded images signal the need to change the toner; spotty printing signals the need to change the ink cartridge get more help for change cartridge .
Hope this helps you.

Black ink prints half a page then fades out. Sometimes does not print black at all. I have replaced the black ink cartridge twice and ran "clean printheads" many times. Still will not work

HI since you tried replacing the cartridges and cleaning the printhead, try the steps below.

1.Print a Demo Page.

a.Press the Menu button of the printer.
b.Use the down arrow key and select Print Demo Sheet.
