Vista where is the software for this all in one lexmark??

Lexmark have not yet released a driver for Vista and there does not appeasr to be any intention to do so from what i have read on their bulletins. Dopn;t wait sell it on ebay to an xp user and get a better supported printer

Good idea! Uninstall the Lexmark software. (Restart windows).
Before you reinstall the driver software download this free cleaning software & run it.

(Restart windows again when it has finished cleaning).
Rather than using your CD's go to the link & download the driver software. I'm not sure if your CD is the same (Date wise) or if the web site's software is the latest. Re-install the driver software.
While at the Lexmark link above, scroll down to the drivers section.
You'll see that Lexmark does not support Vista. From forum post others with the same printer post it will not function with Vista.

You need to download the software for vista in order for this printer to work , go to this link and download teh software http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

Ckeck in control panel & se if the driver software installed. It should be listed in Add/remove programs. If it is, power up the piinter & load windows Vista update service. See if Vista has any patches for you're printer. If no, goto Lexmark & go to the driver section for you're P4350 printer software for Vista. While in Vista update, install any updates listed.

Creat a folder on you're desktop & down load the latest driver software in-to the folder you created. Uninstall any Lexmark software that might have been in add/remove programs. Install the driver software you downloaded. If all this still fails, call Lexmark since this is a new printer. The number should be in you're manul. Or you can go here for free support.

For both of you. Update Vista through windows update service. Even if this is a new printer the software CD may already be out dated. Go to Lekmark (After updating Vista), & download & install the latest software drivers for Vista. You need to download the Windows Vista compatible driver for your X1185 at
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+X1185

Be sure to select the correct Windows Vista driver (there is one for Vista (x64) and one for Vista (which is the 32-bit version and the one you are most likely running on your PC)
