Missing driver for brother hl-1030 laser printer

You can download the Brother printer drivers from their support WEB site. Please click on this link and select your model printer to download : - http://www.brother.com.au/ProductsSolutions.aspx

You can download the driveer for your printer on their website located at www.brother.com. Click on customer support and then downloads and enter the make and model of your printer. then just follow the prompts to download and install your drivers and/or software.

You need to download the driver for the HL-1430 printer for your HL 1030 model which can be found here:

this link provides information for Vista PCs - additional information can be obtained from the Brother website http://www.brother-usa.com/ if required.

Once downloaded you will need to install the printer using the "Add a printer" wizard which can be found in the Control Panel (under printers).

The Brother HL 1030 in USB mode is supported by Windows. When using a Mac with OSxx thru USB will show that there are no communications with the printer. One solution that appears to work with Leopard is to use the alternative communications software for USB connections called "usbtb" which can be downloaded at http://buymelunch.org/printing/usbtb (it's a free download).

If this does not work you will have to use a different parallel-usb adapter.

On the right side should be a blue colored lever. Depress this while lifting up on the bottom of the toner cartridge. This should allow you to remove it.
