Question about Lexmark Z611 InkJet Photo Printer

I am going crazy...

My two printers used to work on my laptop...but since I got it restored to my firstware restore....All my documents have been erased.... But what mainly hurts me is that my two printers cannot be installed....I have lost all my backup cds on a trip I took to New York....I have download drivers in Lexmark.com AND none of them work....Will someone help be...Please....My printers are...Lexmark Z611 and Lexmark X3430...I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL....THANK YOU....

Removing the software and reinstalling it using a "clean boot" may resolve the symptoms you are experiencing. Booting clean is a way to eliminate programs from conflicting with installation of software.

1. Unplug the camera from the computer. Later you will be prompted by the software to plug in the camera; do so at that time only.
2. Open the Windows Control Panel.
3. Open the Add / Remove Programs window.
4. Locate the listing for the software and remove it. When prompted to remove the camera drivers files, click Yes.

Now download the latest version of the software for your OS from the manufacturer's website.

The following is the procedure for a 'clean boot'. I am assuming that you have XP. If you have a different OS, just let me know and I will send you the appropriate procedure to boot clean in that OS.

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart

After restarting, reinstall the downloaded software. Next , do the following:

1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. Replace checkmarks in the items that you previously removed them from.
3. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
4. Click OK
5. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer

Have you installed the driver of your printer into your computer? Is this the first time that you experience this issue?

If it worked before, then Try doing a system restore. Go to start or pearl button > accessories > system tools> system restore. restore your computer to the known good date.

If you are doing a system recovery from disks you created or purchased most times they don't work. You might as well reinstall the operating system.

Have you tried doing a System Restore? System Restore will allow you to select a Restore Point (date and time) when your system was working ok. System Restore does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected.

System Recovery or Factory Restore deletes everything.

Mouse has gone crazy,you click on arrow and it will keep on clicking,it start draging while crossing web page,it highlite every thing blue


Try booting up in safe mode then Restore your system back to a date and time before you came across that web page and started having problems.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn itback on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFEMODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will lookdifferent to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this isnormal.Click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore
Select a Restore Point (date and time) that is before you started having problems. You don't have to use the restore point that is shown just select option to see more restore points.When System Restore finishes, reboot your computer.Report back and let us know if it is solved or not.

Try the next oldest restore point until the issue is resolved. Any software installed after the selected restore point needs to be reinstalled.

The simplest way to solve the problem is to do the system restore. Select the date where in your laptop settings was still OK. Go to this site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084 to check how to do system restore. Open How to use System Restore to restore Windows XP to a previous state to see how.

Two days ago, I was able to print documents perfectly. However when I tried today, the pages came out completely blank. I am not out of ink, but nothing is printing onto the paper.


Do a System Restore on your computer. That may reinstall the driver. Restore it to a time the printer was working. If using Windows, Go to start-acccessories- tools. Then down the list to System Restore.

Use System Restore to Undo Changes if Problems Occur

Your best bet is to use System Restore. Boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK, before the virus. Note: with System Restore, everything, including your documents and other files you saved on the hard drive, will roll back to that date. If you have updated your documents, etc. recently, back up those documents, first.

Recovery drive is full and program files going to Recovery


The Recovery Drive is Drive D. Somehow the destination of the Documents and Settings got changed to this drive. Restore the My Documents Folder to Its Default Location

To restore the My Documents folder to its default location, follow these steps:

Click Start , and then point to My Documents.
Right-click My Documents, and then click Properties. Click Restore Default, and then click OK. In the Move Documents box, click Yes to move your documents to the new location, or click No to leave your documents in the original location.
