Check to make sure that there is nothing preventing the page from being pulled into the printer. Overlapping words is often caused by the paper feed not moving quickly enough, subsequently causing words to overlap and not span the entire page.

I regret to inform you that the Lexmark Z42 printer is not compatible with Windows Vista. For Windows, this old model is only supported in Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, Windows Server 2003(32-bit) and Windows XP(32-bit).

The lexmark drivers and software required for installing the printer is available at www.lexmark.com

Select Drivers & downloads then driver finder.

Type in your model x2350 for example

Select your windows version

Download the setup program.

1.Download software
2.Run the downloaded setup
3.Plugin the printer when asked
4.Done

I don't know if another printers drivers will work, give it a try.

hi!! in that kind case my troubleshoot of that is the feed mechanism was defective and try to bring that in your nearest lexmark service center.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

If there is less than a year you have the printer, hurry to warranty repair because it seams something's wrong at the power part.
Fact is you can not replace the transformer or other such parts in the printer.

Give it a good clean right through, including the print head with an appropriate material such as isopropyl. . Disconnect it from your PC, uNINSTALL THE SOFTWARE. Do a disk clean up and a disk defragmentation procedure,. Restart the PC and reinstall the software, that should clear the fault
