Our flatscreen 19' tv/dvd combo states no disc when dvd is inserted? what is the most common problem? Disc turns and trys to read, but no response other than no disc.

How old is the TV? Are the discs you are trying original store bought ones or burnt ones?

Prob has some dust on the lazer if you have a cd player cleaner give that a shot or blow it out really good and give it a shot

this will probrbly be a faulty laser or with it being a combo a dirty laser as they do collect alot of dust

If the disc loads up and you can hear it spin, then you get the error, more than likely the optical lens has been damaged. This will have to be repaired by a local shop if its worth the cost. if the part is available it would probably run anywhere from 130-165 to repair
