Incorrect disc i have a memorex mvd2009cb combo tv/dvd. no matter what disc i insert i get incorrect disc error. can you please help

The tray is uneven and rubbing against the disc. Try a flat tip screwdriver to slight adjust the tray alignment

That means the disc is in the wrong format

No, because I used to be able to play these discs on this same player, but recently it started giving me these errors.

I have the same problem on my JVC/dvd Player except that everthing works fine for one or two discs then it freezes and then when we restart it give this error message and won't play anything....any solutions or is the player shot?

I get this error message all the time. Some disks work though. I have no idea why.

Panasonic PV-20DF64 20 inch TV/DVD Combo TV can not read disc

If the disc loads up and you can hear it spin, then you get the error, more than likely the optical lens has been damaged. This will have to be repaired by a local shop if its worth the cost. if the part is available it would probably run anywhere from 130-165 to repair

Cdrom doesnt recognise blank dvd. error message

Its only cd writer burner and can only that it can read dvd disc also. That is why its called combo. But burning blank dvd it can't. But if you want buy some dvdburner too.
