My computer seems to be freezing up. It will boot up and work for a minute then the touch pad quits working and it just freezes. What is wrong with it?

Test memory first.
If memory is fine, South Brige Chip on motherboard needs to be reflown.

I have a 4510s and had this problem before.
Part of the problem was synaptics driver was freezing, Driver Synaptics software upgrade may help if that is part of your problem.

Have you opened the notebook to upgrade or remove the HDD for any reason?
If so, you should make sure the plastic of the palmrest (which houses the touchpad mouse) has been correctly fitted back in place. It may also help to remove the palmrest and ensure the flexible cable is correctly inserted in the ZIF connector.
I also notice there are some contact points from the PC to the underside of the trackpad, it may pay to clean those with metho to make sure the electrical connection is good.

Doubt it. Seems like a bad fault, maybe it's worthwhile contacting whoever you bought it off - it sounds like a faulty good.

The Touchpad is pressure sensitive, you can program the Touchpad's functionality. Go to Control Panel, click, to open Mouse Properties. Click the Device settings (block), select the Settings button; after the Touchpad Wizard appear! "View the (left) "Select an item" pane, and click to start the Touchpad's actions." Follow all the instructions carefully. I hope this Fix it
