My computer seems to be freezing up. It will boot up and work for a minute then the touch pad quits working and it just freezes. What is wrong with it?

reinstall the driver, if the touch pad has a massive wear then replace the entire touch pad.

I have the same issue on the same tablet. It seems the interrupts for the screen do not work for a few seconds even minutes

if ur connecting ur touch pad with a cable to ur laptop check for the cable wire compactibility

I have a 4510s and had this problem before.
Part of the problem was synaptics driver was freezing, Driver Synaptics software upgrade may help if that is part of your problem.

Have you opened the notebook to upgrade or remove the HDD for any reason?
If so, you should make sure the plastic of the palmrest (which houses the touchpad mouse) has been correctly fitted back in place. It may also help to remove the palmrest and ensure the flexible cable is correctly inserted in the ZIF connector.
I also notice there are some contact points from the PC to the underside of the trackpad, it may pay to clean those with metho to make sure the electrical connection is good.
