This machine is roughly 4 years and so the battery does not hold the charge like it used to. It's just suggesting that you should look into a replacement battery that will hold the charge longer than the current one which will give you more time to use the device.

Garmin Nuvii 55 LM battery icon color meaning

There are usually 4 side by side green bars if the battery is fully charged. You can think of each bar as 25% power, so (4) bars is 100%, (3) bars is 75%, (2) bars is 50% and (1) bar is 25%.

Gateway NV5378u lap top, brand new battery installed and status says 100% charged. When I unplug the computer it shuts off as if there is no battery. Could the new battery be defective?

There are a few things to check. The LED lights can tell you a lot. This will tell you more about the battery:
  1. On the taskbar, double-click the power cord icon or battery icon to open the Power Meter dialog box. Note: If the power cord icon or battery icon does not appear on the taskbar, click the show hidden icons button.
  2. Press Fn+STATUS to view the power status box, which opens in the upper-left corner of the screen. The power status box shows the current power source, the battery charge level, and the power management mode.
  3. Look at the battery charge indicator (if applicable).
    • LED green - Battery is fully charged.
    • LED orange - Battery is charging.
    • LED blinking red - Battery charge is very low.
    • LED solid red - Battery is malfunctioning. Note: This LED only lights up when the notebook is connected to AC power.
  4. Press the battery meter button on the battery. The battery meter lights indicate the percentage of battery charge remaining.
  5. Wait for a Low Battery warning message to appear.
If your battery charge indicator displays what looks like an inaccurate charge, you may need to recalibrate the battery.

To recalibrate the battery as mentioned, try this:
  1. Connect the AC adapter and then turn on the notebook.
  2. As soon as it starts and you see a startup screen, press the F2 key.
  3. In the BIOS Setup utility, use the TAB key to select the Advanced menu.
  4. On the Advanced menu, select Battery Auto Learning, and then press the SPACEBAR to select Enabled.
  5. Use the RIGHT ARROW key to select the Exit menu. On the Exit menu select Exit Saving Changes, and then press ENTER.
  6. At the Setup Confirmation prompt, select Yes, and then press ENTER.
  7. The battery recalibration process begins and a screen opens showing you the progress.
  8. When the recalibration has finished, and the message "Press [Esc] key to exit" appears, press Esc. The battery charge indicator now displays an accurate battery charge.

Hope this helps!!

My dell 1545 inspiron wont operate on the battery works fine on charger and battery icon shows 100% and charging but as soon as power removed laptop immediately powers down. physically measured battery...

I think that if it's 100% it should say that it's fully charged. There could be something wrong there.

My computer blinks with a red icon on the printer saying that the it's recommended the battery be replaced when the battery goes bad. It shows 100% charge as well.

I just got a 9 cell battery off of Ebay for my Acer Aspire that lasts 3 or 4 hours and is a little big, but fits the contacts and locks on.

No power will not trun on

Hello

Plug in the printer power cord into electricity to charge the battery. The battery might need charging if the On light flashes green it indicates that the battery is charging.

Switch ON the printer, the battery charging icon (lightning bolt icon) flashes above the battery icon on the printer screen to indicate that the battery is charging.

If the battery is charged and the printer does not turn on with the battery power, unplug the printer power cord, if it is plugged in. Open the battery compartment and remove the battery. Wait for about 10 seconds, and then reinstall the battery.

An empty battery should fully charge in approximately four hours when the printer is not in use. If the battery still does not charge in 4 hours, you should replace it

Good luck

Battery fully charged but still shutting down when disconnected from mains

Find another battery it says like the one you have is faulty. If you try another known good battery and that fails just like yours then try a know good ac adaptor. If that fails, then its a problem with the motherboard not charging batteries properly but it really does sound like a faulty battery from my experience.

Is there any such thing as charging my mps nextar MA933a via the USB port? I just get sleepy z's on the display when I connect it to my computer.

Here is what I found:
Connected the player to the PC with and without prior power on successfully
OSD first displays message “Starting…” then:
Icon appears on screen with a picture of a computer monitor to right and mp3 player icon to left
When mp3 player is communicating with computer or sending information, an appropriate directional arrow appears between the two icons; when transferring files using Windows Explorer, the arrow reverses direction appropriately; when there is no activity either way, a series of “Z z z” ‘s appear on screen
Battery indicator icon also appears to right – new AAA battery resulted in a fully charged icon upon startup; no battery whatsoever resulted also in a fully charged battery icon appearing
