Compaq 2200 I got a new laptop battery and put it. But with is 10-25 minutes of switching it On. It used to show that the battery is 100% fully charged. But If u switch off the AC power. The battery used to show that 10-15% power. Its just wont Charge also. After 10-15 minutes the charging indicator light shows that it is no more charging and when u click on the icon it shown 100% .. This problem has been there for sometime now. And since 2 days ,.. The laptop just doesn't start. Anytakes on what the problems is?

Remove the Battery and press power on for 1-2 minutes with out AC power .
Please turn on the laptop with only AC POWER (without battery ). Check it. it may turn on your laptop.
this is comon with hp and compaq try removing the battery and plug it in turn it on and when on put battery in dont ask why for somereason it does work most of the time...
1) put the laptop on a bed or a similar surface to close the air openings below 2) wait some time (15-30 min or 1hour) and let it get warm enough 3) restart. it worked for mine. hope it works for you too.. the laptop seems stable and does not give any more beeps (for now).. good luck !
very first thing u have do is if u have any other laptop try and connect the aac adaptor with that laptop and also try the battery if it is working with the other laptop that means the motherboard of the computer has gone bad u need to replace it and what also u can try is disconnect the ac adaptor and take out the battery from the laptop and the without ac adaptor and the battery press and hold down the power button for one minute and then connect the ac adaptor and put the battery back in and then try and turn on the computer and also what u can do is shut down the computer first and then just hit the power butoon once only to turn it on and then keep tapping f8 key on the keyboard and it will take u to windows advance options and select safe mode with networking and then try if it turns on to the windows screen or not......and if it doesnt turn ono then definately replace the motherboard...good luck....
try a simple power cycle. Take out the battery, leave power adapter plugged in. Hold down the power button for about one minute. Then hit the power button normally this should correct the problem
