Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

All I ask is please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Error 6A00 when attemnpting to print from Canon IP3000 printer.

Hi,

According to the service manual of the printer, the Error 6A00 is one of the Service Call Errors (by LED blinking in orange and green alternately 12 times.) The name of error is “AP position error [6A00]”. The sheet unit (QM2-1220) or Logic board ***’y (QM2-1520) may be faulty. And the replacement of the part is needed which is likely to be faulty.
It means that you have to waste money.
But you can try the solutions below:
Solution 1:
It looks like the print heads need to dip down into the small sponges underneath the white plate at the end of the start motions. Just move the print head carriage (white plate) back and forwards a few times.

Solution 2:
Some where in the paper path a sensor is activated indicating paper jam so the printer will give off a 6A00 code. This may be related to the purge unit being jammed with something and not being able to move. Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like. The offending item needs to be removed or the purge unit needs replacement.
Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.
Solution 4:
After trying the solutions above to reset the error:
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

I hope it helps.

CANON I350 DOES NOT PRINT

Green and yellow is a service error, but it flashes a longer green, and then the green yellow flashes, and a longer green again. You need to count the number of yellow-greens in between the longer green flashes, to know the error code.

Error 6a00

I found numerous suggestions on FIXYA for other Canon printer models with the same 6A00 error message. The isuggestions mainly zero in on the purge station where the printer head parks and possible cause being bits of jammed paper at the two pieces of sponge material. There were several reports of cleaning the two sponges at the purge station and the problem going away after. I checked my printer but did not finad any jammed bits of paper. But I found the purge station was a bit up and could be pressed down - probably a bit sticky due to the soaked sponges and not returning to its original position. After that I didn't get the error message anymore. The two sponges on my printer purge station were black and possibly soaked with ink and I am thinking of cleaning these the next time.
ur flashing lights also seem to be a cnsequence of this....
hope it helps.... good luck
have a nice day

Error code 6A00

6A00 error on a Canon IP4200 is an AP Postion Error. This means one of three things. A problem with the sheet feeder, Logic board or the Purge Unit. Sadly these part are either working or not working and are difficult to repair. You could try resetting the EEPROM on the unit by entering service mode. A service manual will show you how to do that:
